How to Make Your High Last

Smoking marijuana is kind of like the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears. You don’t want to feel too stoned, and you don’t want your high to dissipate immediately, either. So how do you achieve that ‘just right’ phase? These four tips will help make your high last longer.

Don’t Hold in the Smoke

This old myth is seriously outdated. Holding in bong, pipe and bowl smoke longer will not make your high stronger and longer. In fact, you’ll probably just feel a little dizzy from the lack of oxygen. Instead, try one of these other tips to ensure you get the best results.

Eat the Right Foods While High

Certain foods have chemical compounds that bind with cannabinoid receptors, making your high last longer. Indulge in these foods up to an hour before indulging in cannabis for the best results.

Mangoes

Eating mangoes or mango products can help enhance your high. It’s important to check the packaging beforehand if you’re consuming any mango products. You want to ensure that you’re eating or drinking real mango instead of mango flavoring.

Nuts and Other Foods With Omega 3

You’ve probably heard about omega 3 foods at some point in your life. These foods contain healthy fats that can help you lose weight and keep your heart healthy. Foods containing high levels of omega 3 include chia seeds; fatty fish, such as sardines; hemp; eggs and wild rice.

Yet, if you’re looking for something that will cure your munchies and offer you a longer high, look no further than the glorious nut. Pretty much any nut will do the trick, but walnuts are a go-to for super high levels of omega 3.

Antioxidants

Antioxidants can also bind to cannabinoid receptors and make your high laster longer. These foods include broccoli, blueberries, spinach (which is also high in omega 3, delivering double benefits) and dark chocolate.

Carrots and grapes are great options for when you have the munchies and are also high in antioxidants.

Get Moving

Another great trick for making your high last is to exert a little energy. It may seem a little counterproductive since exerting energy can boost your metabolism and seemingly move it through your system faster.

Yet, it actually has the opposite effect.

Many experts are torn on whether or not working out while high is safe. Some say that it can reduce coordination and increase the likelihood of injury. Others believe that marijuana can help enhance your workout.

Whatever you choose to believe we know one thing for certain: it can make you higher for longer.
